Manage Prescriptions with Data Card Utilities

The Manage Prescriptions feature allows Clinical Users to manage prescriptions with the Data Card Utility.

To manage prescriptions with the Data Card Utility:

After the creation of a new prescription or an edit of an existing prescription, inspect and verify all therapy settings for the prescription. After verification of the prescription, click the Save button.

Note: See the Add Prescription or Edit Prescription section for more information on creating/editing a prescription.
Click the Send to Card button.

Note: On July 13, 2022, the Data Card Utility used to read and write data to therapy device removable media is no longer able to be used by customers using Windows 7. Please upgrade to a supported version of Microsoft Windows to prevent interruption.

Note: Click the Send to card button if you want to send the prescription to removable media. If you have a modem or Bluetooth-enabled device, the prescription will be transfer automatically to the device during the next established connection.

Note: The prescription status displays using the Status field located at the top of the prescription. To see Status values in Care Orchestrator please see View Prescriptions.

Choose to Erase prescription after successful delivery by selecting the check box and then click the Send button to write the prescription to the removable media. Removable media can be removed after the Data Card Utilities indicates that the information has been saved to Care Orchestrator.
